Extends Drain Intervals
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil can extend drain intervals far beyond those recommended for conventional oils. Its unique synthetic formulation and long drain additive system are very stable, resisting oxidation and neutralizing acids. AMSOIL ATM delivers the best possible engine protection, cleanliness and performance over extended drain intervals, reducing vehicle maintenance and waste oil disposal costs.

Maximizes Fuel Economy
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil is designed to maximize energy efficiency for improved fuel economy. Unlike conventional oils, its uniform molecular structure helps it flow more freely and reduce friction between metal surfaces. Anti-friction additives are included to further improve energy efficiency.

Reduces Engine Wear

Evaporation (volatility) occurs when oil gets hot, causing high oil consumption and emissions. Excels in Extreme Temperatures
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil resists thermal (heat) breakdown better than conventional oils. It is heavily fortified with detergent and dispersant additives to prevent sludge deposits and keep engines clean. And unlike conventional oils, AMSOIL ATM contains no wax. It stays fluid down to -58°F for improved cold temperature oil flow, reduced bearing wear and easier starting (see chart). In addition, the advanced heat transfer capabilities and high lubricity of AMSOIL 10W-30 reduce excessive operating temperatures of engines, transmissions and gear boxes, so they run cooler, cleaner and longer.

Provides High Shear Stability
AMSOIL 10W-30 surpasses the North American SAE and European ACEA oil specifications for high temperature/high shear (HTHS) viscosity. It doesn't shear back to a lower viscosity oil in the high temperature/high shear conditions of today's smaller, high RPM automobile engines. AMSOIL 10W-30 maintains an extremely protective viscosity of 3.5 cP at 302°F (150°C) in the ASTM D-4683 High Temperature/High Shear Test, far exceeding test limits of 2.9 cP.

Provides Low Temperature Protection
AMSOIL 10W-30 remains fluid at temperatures as frigid as -48°F (-54°C). It permits easy engine cranking for fast starts and in sub-zero temperatures flows to all engine parts much faster than petroleum motor oils. The exceptional cold temperature properties of AMSOIL 10W-30 provide immediate cold start lubrication, greatly reducing engine wear and prolonging engine life.

Resists Deposit Formation
Because AMSOIL 10W-30's synthetic formulation resists oxidation so well, it runs naturally cleaner than petroleum motor oils. AMSOIL 10W-30 also contains special detergent/dispersant additives that, when tested after tens of thousands of miles of use in the crankcase, still exhibit outstanding deposit control. This combination of natural high detergency and advanced additive package keeps AMSOIL 10W-30 effective for up to 25,000 miles or one year in non-turbocharged gasoline-fueled cars.

MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL ATM is compatible with conventional and synthetic motor oils. Mixing AMSOIL motor oils with other oils, however, will shorten the oil life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed. Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL motor oils.

SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil is recommended for extended drain intervals in unmodified(1), mechanically sound(2) gasoline fueled vehicles as follows:

(1) Engines operating under modified conditions are excluded from extended drain recommendations. Examples include the use of performance computer chips; non-OEM approved exhaust, fuel or air induction systems; and the use of fuels other than those recommended for normal operation by the manufacturers.

(2) Engines are in good working condition and within the factory design settings. Mechanically sound engines, for example, do not leak oil or consume excessive amounts, are not worn out, do not overheat, do not have internal or external anti-freeze leaks and have properly working emission control systems. AMSOIL recommends repairing malfunctioning engines prior to the installation of AMSOIL synthetic oils.

(3) Personal transportation vehicles frequently traveling greater than 10 miles (16 km) at a time and not operating under severe service.

(4) Turbo/supercharged vehicles, commercial or fleet vehicles, excessive engine idling, use of AMSOIL engine oil in vehicles with over 100,000 miles without prior regular use of AMSOIL engine oil, daily short trip driving (less than 10 miles), frequent towing, plowing, hauling or dusty-condition driving.

AMSOIL full-flow oil filters are designed for extended drain intervals. They stop smaller particles, flow more oil and last longer than regular filters. For best performance, use AMSOIL full-flow oil filters.
