These are the pictures of my AMSOIL BMK 11 (21) install last week on my 2007 Subaru Forester. An Outback or other would not be too much different.
It was an easy install, I used 5/16 aluminum rivet nuts on the strut tower on the passenger side. The oil pressure sending unit on the 2.5 litre Suabru's is located on top of the engine by the alternator and is easily accessible. We bought a (2008 Subaru Outback I) last night and I was looking at it this morning and it would also be an easy install, but the easiest place to place the unit would be the passenger side front on the frame rail - tons of room. I just thought you might like to see the pictures.
