New AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (MTG) meets and exceeds the gear, bearing, synchromesh and seal demands found in automobiles and light trucks.

This NEW product by AMSOIL costs less than 1/2 of the Chrysler and GM OEM counterparts where the competitor oil is currently only available. Use this where the manufacturer requires a GL-4 only gear lube.

AMSOIL MTG offers synchro protection and 75W90 GL-4 Performance!AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (MTG) is designed to meet the special requirements of certain manual transmissions and transaxles as well as those requiring GL-4 performance , such as the New Venture NV4500. It is designed to replace AMSOIL 80W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube (AGT) and provide improved internal component protection. Many of these transmissions are cast iron and have exhaust pipes close to them, causing them to run hot. Increased operating temperatures can harden seals and cause oil leaks. In addition to lubricating gears, bearings and synchromesh systems, transmission oil must keep seals soft even when temperatures increase. AMSOIL uses a unique seal additive though out the gear lube line others avoid because of costs. The premium synthetic formulation of AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube is designed to specifically address the needs of these hot running transmissions.

MTG is formulated with extreme pressure (EP) additives and advanced synchromesh qualities that provide smooth shifts while protecting gears, bearings and seals. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT corrosive to yellow metals, such as copper, that are used in some synchromesh systems! MTG provides the maximum transmission and transaxle internal component protection.

Applications
MTG is recommended for synchronized manual transmissions and transaxles that require 75W-85, 75W-90 or 80W-90 API GL-4 gear lube. Recommended for use in NV 4500 transmissions and replaces GM part # 12346190 and Chrysler part # 4874459 (Chrysler specification MS-9070).  (Costs about 1/2 the OEM rate) MTG meets GL-4 performance specifications required by some models of Acura, Hyundai, Infiniti, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi-Fuso, Subaru and Zetor. Ideal for muscle car transmissions, including Muncie, Borg Warner, Saginaw, Ford Toploader, Dearborn and New Process.
